Peace Through Action USA is accepting applications through Friday, December, 8, 2023 from community organizations that wish to join us in requesting AmeriCorps national service members to confront social discord within their communities. Peace Through Action will include qualified community organizations in its upcoming application to AmeriCorps to operate Peace Through Action AmeriCorps. Peace Through Action has a current federal grant to plan this program.

In addition to the application, this webpage contains application instructions, a presentation, a Frequently Asked Questions, and a schedule of orientation calls (see below) running through December 2023.

We look forward to including in our application a robust and diverse set of community organizations committed to increasing civic engagement, social cohesion, and peace among their people and within their places.

As service sites in Peace Through Action AmeriCorps, community organizations would host one or more AmeriCorps members to deliver social cohesion, civic engagement, and peacebuilding activities such as civic dialogues, compassion cultivation sessions, constructive conflict resolution training, and restorative justice practices.
