This month we’re doing something a bit different in honor of Pace e Bene’s Campaign Nonviolence Days of Action, which runs from International Day of Peace on September 21 to International Day of Nonviolence on October 2. On October 1 at 4pm ET, the Nonviolence Study & Practice Affinity Group of Pace e Bene will be hosting a screening of The Third Harmony: Nonviolence and the Story of Human Nature. Drawing on interviews with veteran activists like Civil Rights leader Bernard Lafayette, scientists like behaviorist Frans de Waal and neuroscientist Marco Iacoboni, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, political scientist Erica Chenoweth, futurist Elisabet Sahtouris and others, The Third Harmony tells the story of nonviolence while also delving into the important role that nonviolence plays in the wider struggle to develop a new theory of human nature, how every one of us can add to our personal growth and fulfillment while benefiting society through the use of this time-tested power. After the film, we’ll be staying on for a discussion until the event’s end at 6pm.
