Our Peace Promoters

Peace Through Action USA welcomes into our peace promoters network people of all ages with a desire to encourage peace and challenge aggression and violence. Written and spoken communications skills of our peace promoters vary and increase according to the opportunity type they pursue. Our peace promoters volunteer one-time only in response to a simple request; occasionally throughout the year; or as a regular contributor to a community peace project. Our peace promoters typically volunteer remotely, making this program readily accessible to people with all life circumstances.

Peace Promoters Opportunities

Peace Through Action USA’s peace promoters volunteer opportunities include:

• Taking the Peaceful Communicator Pledge to consistently demonstrate decency in your public written and oral communication and to refrain from expressing or propagating aggression or violence in writing, speaking, and social sharing.
• Spreading the word about the practical peaceful solutions, like those in our Peaceful Practices Series.
• Writing messages, posts, and columns about peace for dissemination through Peace Through Action USA’s media and/or your own media.
• Assisting Peace Through Action USA peace agents leading our community peace projects in publicizing project activities to community members and in documenting project activities with photography, video, and writing.
• Doing a creative act to raise awareness about our work, like a cross-country bike ride!
• Raising money through a peer-to-peer campaign.
