Susan Meche | Peace Through Action USA

Susan E. Meche, of Granbury, Texas, is an accounting and regulatory compliance advisor to Peace Through Action USA. Susan is responsible for improving Peace Through Action’s money and property management system to meet federal financial management standards.

Susan brings to this position more than 36 years of experience working in financial management and accounting as a grants officer, accountant, auditor, financial analyst, operations manager, CFO, financial coach, and trainer. Susan is the Owner of Meche Consulting, LLC, an independent consulting company she founded in 2004. Previous positions include senior grants officer at the AmeriCorps Federal agency (Washington, D.C.), director of grants, director of operations, and CFO for non-profit organizations: American National Red Cross (Washington, D.C); Meals On Wheels, Inc. (Fort Worth, TX); and Habitat for Humanity of Hood County (Granbury, TX); and an auditor and analyst with two Federal Offices of Inspectors General at the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of Transportation. Susan is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Hood County as a construction worker and the volunteer accountant since 2004; American Red Cross Chisolm Trail Chapter as a disaster relief volunteer, and Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury, TX.  Susan holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Colorado State University.
