Christina Miller | Peace Through Action USA

Christina Miller, of Baltimore, Maryland, is a mission delivery intern with Peace Through Action USA. Christina is responsible for providing substantive activity and resource development support to the organization’s programs function area.

Christina brings to this position several years’ experience in clinical and community-based social work, with a background in psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and women, gender, and sexuality studies. They also bring a wide range of knowledge and experience in nutrition, agriculture, and sustainability practices. They have experience in program planning and development, with a passion for increasing accessibility for all in the disabled and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Christina is a crisis intervention specialist with the National #988 Suicide and Crisis Intervention Hotline, specifically the 2SLGBTQIA+ team through The Trevor Project. Previous positions include direct care worker and case manager at Pathways Inc. They also have experience working with The Street Angels Project in Annapolis, MD. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Christina also holds certifications in CPR and Mental Health First Aid. They are currently working to obtain their Master of Social Work from Salisbury University.

Christina is motivated to advise Peace Through Action on the planning of its future AmeriCorps program. “I am very passionate and dedicated to making positive change in my community by doing grassroots social work and fostering mutual aid efforts via increasing empathy and providing safe spaces for education,” they said.
