Workplaces and Workers
Peace Through Action can help workplaces strengthen communication, improve workplace relationships, and encourage employees to make a positive difference in their communities. We can support businesses, business associations, business improvement districts, unions, employee resource groups, and workforce development programs.
Here are ways we can help workplaces and workers:
Teach peace skills your people can use at work and beyond. Our Essential Peace Skills Trainings and Practical Peace Solutions Sessions help employees strengthen communication, resolve conflict constructively, and build healthier relationships. We can also develop custom practical solutions sessions based on situations your employees encounter.
Bring your people together around community service. Organize a peace skills education or peace through action planning event as a workplace learning opportunity or community day of service.
Support lasting community involvement. Set up Peace Through Action Meet-Ups so employees can create personal action plans for increasing peace in their relationships and communities.
We have designed our resources so employees can confidently share our workshops with coworkers and community members. Your organization can also include our content in professional development, employee engagement, and community involvement efforts.
We are able to provide our resources without charge (although we welcome contributions) if you choose to deliver our content to your members, volunteers, and communities yourselves. If you prefer Peace Through Action to deliver our content virtually or in-person, we can do that for a fee.
Here’s how to take the next step toward doing something with us:
- Write programs@peacethroughaction.org and we’ll share a preview of our content.
- Complete this Activity Interest Form and we will follow up.
Peace Through Action appreciates all that national service participants do to get things done for their communities and our country. We are grateful for the support AmeriCorps sponsors and sites provide their members, volunteers, and communities. We hope to contribute to their participants’ development and our communities’ social well-being. Let’s increase peace!
