Paul Murdoch, Jr., of Saint Leonard, Maryland, is a peace agent with Peace Through Action USA. Paul is responsible for organizing and delivering civic and social engagement activities with a focus on peace to youth and adults in Calvert County, Maryland as a representative of the Calvert Peace Project.
In addition to his peace agent position, Paul is a small business owner in Calvert County, operating a fossil education and tour company that focuses on the paleontology, archeology, and heritage of Southern Maryland. He brings to the peace agent position a wide range of knowledge and experience in organizational leadership and dynamics as well as over twenty years business experience from a career in the financial sector. Paul serves on the Calvert County Heritage Committee. He volunteers for several community and civic associations in Calvert County. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts from Immaculata University. He holds certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Paul is motivated to work with Peace Through Action USA and the Calvert Peace Project because “I am very passionate and dedicated to cultivating a sense of community and increased connectivity that will allow for making positive change in my community and the surrounding areas by doing grassroots social work and fostering mutual aid efforts via increasing empathy and providing safe spaces for idea sharing.”
