Kelly Motley, of Nashville, Tennessee, is a director with Peace Through Action® USA. Directors are governors of the organization, contributing to its strategic direction, promotion, resourcing, and oversight.

Kelly brings more than thirty years of strategic communications expertise, a proven track record in high-impact brand marketing and media relations, and a powerful dedication to resilience-building and community empowerment to this leadership position. An author, writer, and inspirational speaker, Kelly was previously the founder and principal of her own public relations and brand marketing firm in Nashville, where she advised CEOs and publicly traded companies within the $92 billion healthcare sector.

In addition to her board service, Kelly has published articles on issues vital to the Nashville community and launched the Power of Love cycling event in partnership with major corporations, elite athletes, and a professional sports team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in history.

Kelly is motivated to serve Peace Through Action® USA because of a deep personal alignment with the legacy of civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis, who taught that peace must be actively taught and lived. As Congressman Lewis famously noted, “Each generation must do its part to help build what we called the Beloved Community, a nation and world society at peace with itself.”
