Beth DeHart

Beth DeHart, of Columbia, South Carolina, is a director with Peace Through Action® USA. Directors are governors of the organization and contribute to our strategic direction, promotion, resourcing, and oversight.

Beth brings to this leadership position many years of expertise in conflict management and resolution, project management, training, coalition building, community organizing, group facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, operations, program development, and team leadership.

Beth currently serves as an interior designer with her own consulting firm, DeHart Designs. Before this endeavor, Beth served for over 30 years in human service project management, working on initiatives including teen pregnancy prevention, civic education, disability prevention, infant and early childhood mental health, senior access to resources, and national service. She has served with local and state nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and most recently as a monitoring officer with AmeriCorps. Her titles have included director of programs and evaluation, director of senior services, law-related education manager, infant and early childhood mental health program manager, and disability prevention program manager. In addition to her professional roles, Beth has served on the Board of Directors with the Midlands Mediation Center and Columbia Children’s Theater. She is currently a board member with Good Unlimited – a philanthropic organization rooted in the teachings of A Course in Miracles. Beth holds a master’s degree in conflict resolution and a certification in mediation.
