About the Event:

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET, Peace Through Action USA hosted an engaging free virtual learning event titled, “Addressing Islamophobia: Strategies for Harmony, Inclusion, and Understanding.” In this session, we explored the complexities of Islamophobia, with an emphasis on dismantling stereotypes and cultivating empathy. Through interactive discussions and activities, we analyzed the root causes of Islamophobia and equipped participants with practical strategies for challenging discriminatory attitudes and behaviors. By surveying diverse perspectives and experiences, this event illuminated paths towards more compassionate and cohesive communities. Using a variety of peacebuilding skills and nonviolent approaches, this free virtual learning event deconstructed barriers, promoted social understanding, and empowered participants with actionable strategies for intercultural education and exchange.
