About the Event:
On Thursday, August 29th, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET, Peace Through Action USA hosted an engaging and forward-looking no-cost virtual event titled “Breaking the Cycle: Pathways to Resolve Political Violence in America.” In collaboration with featured guest speakers from Braver Angels and the Polarization & Extremism Research & Innovation Lab (PERIL) at American University, this FREE, no-cost one-hour session tackled the pressing issue of political violence and explored how we can overcome it to create a more unified and peaceful future.
Participants engaged in interactive activities and discussions, surveyed strategies for addressing political violence, and identified the critical role every American can play in the pursuit of peace. Together, we braved the perilous fight to dismantle the divisive barriers that we’ve built and envisioned a common future that promotes harmony and collaboration. This event offered a meaningful conversation and contributed to a more perfect union that embodies the values of liberty and justice for all.
