What Your Youth Will Do

• Volunteer with community organizations serving Calvert County, Maryland, including Freedom Horse Rescue, Anne Marie Gardens, and Flag Pond Nature Park.
• Develop skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership.
• Explore topics such as service, empathy, and conflict resolution.
• Plan and complete a group service project.

Who Can Participate

Youth ages 12 through 18 who live in or attend school in Calvert County, Maryland. No prior experience is needed – just bring a willingness to participate and a heart for helping others.

Cost

Free! The Calvert Peace Project will provide lunch, snacks, and program supplies.

When and Where

• Dates: July 14 through July 19, 2025, 9 am – 1 pm daily. (Family members are invited to join their youth on Saturday, July 19.)
• Locations: Each day, youth will gather at a different community organization location within Calvert County.

Transportation

Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up each day. Youth who drive themselves or are being picked up by someone other than a parent/guardian must have written permission.

Media Notice

We will take photography, video recordings, and audio recordings for our use in promotion and performance reporting. On the registration form, we ask parents/legal guardians to provide their consent or non-consent for their young person.
