AmeriCorps Sponsors and Sites
Peace Through Action can support AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers in managing communication and conflict challenges they encounter with their peers and community members. We can support members and volunteers before, during, and after service.
Here are ways we can help AmeriCorps sponsors and sites:
- Teach peace skills your members can use right away. Our Essential Peace Skills Trainings and Practical Peace Solutions Sessions will equip your members and volunteers with constructive communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Our Essential Peace Skills learning experiences include modules on de‑escalation, group dialogue, peace circles, and more. Our Practical Peace Solutions brief workshops address everyday situations, such as co‑workers feeling frustrated about shared spaces and aggression in public spaces. We can develop custom practical solutions sessions using situations your members and volunteers actually encounter.
- Prepare members for life after AmeriCorps. You can use our Peace Through Action Meet‑Ups activity to help members reflect on their service and identify personal and social development actions they can take once their national service concludes.
- Extend impact into the community. You can deploy your members and volunteers to teach our peace skills workshops to community members through their positions or during national days of service.
We have designed our resources for everyday people, including AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, to present our content to their peers and to community members. AmeriCorps service site staff can lead sessions as part of your member education and training plans. AmeriCorps sponsors can reach your total service corps during all-member conferences or virtual meetings.
We are able to provide our resources without charge (although we welcome contributions) if you choose to deliver our content to your members, volunteers, and communities yourselves. If you prefer Peace Through Action to deliver our content virtually or in-person, we can do that for a fee.

Peace Through Action appreciates all that national service participants do to get things done for their communities and our country.
