Jonah DeHart-Thompson, of Columbia South Carolina, was a mission delivery associate with Peace Through Action USA in 2021. Jonah was responsible for contributing to the development, delivery, and promotion of Peace Through Action’s civic engagement and peaceful practices skills-building activities. Previous positions include as a residential assistant for Clemson University, volunteer at Harbison Hall Assisted Living, boat shrink-wrapper for Bentley Pontoon, customer service and company representative for ECD Lacrosse, general landscaper for Common Ground Landscaping, owner and operator of Good Guy Pressure Washing, and a host/server at Fatz Cafe. Jonah was enrolled at Clemson University pursuing a bachelor of arts. Jonah holds a High School Diploma from Dutch Fork High School.
Jonah was motivated to serve Peace Through Action because “I see value that peace can bring into a community. Violence does nothing but cause pain and suffering; therefore, it needs to be decreased. I am a political science student at Clemson University and wish to gain different skills and disciplines that I can put into practice throughout my professional career. I believe that peace and love are keys to living happily, and so I wish to exhibit those attributes in all components of my life.”
