Volunteer Opportunity-Mission Support Volunteers

Peace Through Action® USA is pleased to announce volunteer opportunities for everyday people who want to do something to increase peace in their relationships and communities, and our country.

We invite you to consider mission support volunteer opportunities when we announce them as-needed. We post our mission support needs on this webpage, in our newsletter and social media channels, and on volunteer listing sites Idealist, Catchafire, and Taproot.

We invite people with a desire to contribute their management and general administration skills to Peace Through Action to let us know by completing this interest form.

Mission support includes functions such as information system improvements, money management (accounting), people management (human resources), grant prospecting and writing, language translation, audio recording, video recording, and more.

Our mission support volunteer opportunities are well-suited for people with business, operations, management, and administrative skills. Previous mission support volunteer positions have been filled by people wanting to: build their work samples and portfolios; keep their skills fresh while seeking employment or new clients; and remain active in retirement.

Who Can Volunteer Through Peace Through Action

We welcome everyone who desires greater peace to volunteer through us. People in every part of the country can volunteer through us; our opportunities are not restricted by area.

We encourage people with lived experiences as survivors of violence and residents of communities at increased risk of violence to volunteer through us. Also, we invite people who belong to identity groups that have been historically underrepresented in volunteering to partner with us. This includes people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, people living in rural and Tribal areas, people experiencing or having experienced poverty, neighbors returning from incarceration, and newly arrived neighbors.

We encourage alums of AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service programs, U.S. veterans, and people with public service experience to continue their service as a Peace Through Action® USA volunteer.
