Tim Snyder of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a director of Peace Through Action USA. Tim brings to this mission a lifetime of community leadership and professional work in the not-for-profit sector. He has worked nationally and in the mid-Atlantic region in both corporate and consulting positions. Tim is President of Apfel Snyder International, a strength-based, solution-focused, community-centered philanthropic services company.
Previous positions include executive director of the Parental Stress Center (Pittsburgh), chief development officer of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, the United Way and capital campaign director for Ketchum, Inc. Tim has served community organizations including the YMCA, libraries, community centers, and historical societies. He is a member of the World Affairs Council.
Tin holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public and International Affairs and attended Southern Methodist University. Tim has been a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 1989.
Tim is motivated to serve Peace Through Action because “striving for peace within ourselves first and nurturing strengthens in others will lead to community, regional and world peace. Peace-making action must be practiced and shared in very private and broadly public ways.”
