Martha Mihaly Black | Peace Through Action USA

Face image of Martha Mihaly BlackMartha Mihaly Black of Annapolis, MD, is a director of Peace Through Action USA. Martha brings to this mission leadership positions as former president, Maryland Psychological Association, board member of Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center, and board member of several nonprofit human services organizations.  Martha works as a grants and proposals consultant and as a peer review panelist for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Previous positions include ethics investigator for the American Psychological Association and scientific review officer for NIH. For three years she authored a blog with writings on civility. She is a volunteer with a Johns Hopkins University (JHU)-based study of the impact of virtual companionship on the well-being of persons diagnosed with dementia. Martha is active in the Moms Demand Action gun sense movement. Martha holds a Masters in clinical counseling from JHU and a PhD in psychology. Martha has been involved with peacekeeping activities for most of her academic and professional lives.
